Deodar Cedar
Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara) is an evergreen conifer tree with a pyramid-like shape and graceful, weeping branches. It can grow up to 70 feet tall with a spread of up to 40 feet. The foliage consists of needle-like leaves that grow in clusters of 15-35 and have a blue-green color. The tree produces small cones that start out green and mature to a brown color. Deodar Cedar is native to the western Himalayas and is known for its ornamental value as well as its strong, durable wood which is used in construction and for making furniture. It is also a popular choice for use in landscapes and gardens due to its unique appearance and ability to tolerate a range of growing conditions.
