Curtis' Hoya
Hoya curtisii, also known as Curtis' Hoya, is a charming and sought-after species of Hoya, treasured for its unique foliage and delicate flowers. Native to Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand and Malaysia, this epiphytic vine belongs to the Apocynaceae family. Hoya curtisii features small, succulent-like leaves that are typically oval-shaped and dark green, often with a hint of purple underneath. The leaves may also display subtle variegation along the edges. Additionally, this plant produces clusters of waxy, star-shaped flowers that are typically white or pale pink, each with a striking burgundy center. These flowers are highly fragrant, emitting a sweet, honey-like scent that intensifies in the evening, attracting pollinators like moths and butterflies. Hoya curtisii is well-suited to indoor cultivation as a houseplant, thriving in bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. With its unique foliage and beautiful blooms, Hoya curtisii is a favorite among plant enthusiasts and collectors, adding beauty and charm to any indoor garden or hanging basket display.
