Dwarf Variegated Aucuba
The Dwarf Variegated Aucuba, (Aucuba japonica 'Variegata Nana') is a small evergreen shrub native to Japan. Popular for its unique glossy green leaves speckled with yellow or white spots. Grows to a height of about 3-4 feet with a similar spread but can take several years to reach its full size. A low-maintenance plant that requires minimal pruning and can tolerate dry spells. Prefers partial to full shade and well-drained soil. Use as a low hedge or as a specimen plant in a mixed border. It can also be grown in containers on a patio or balcony.
